Michael Greenspan is an award-winning Canadian-American film director, writer, and producer whose work explores psychological tension, human vulnerability, and the complexities of the human experience.

Michael studied filmmaking at York University in Toronto before earning his MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. His early work received recognition from the National Film Board of Canada, the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, and the Canadian Society of Cinematographers.

His acclaimed short films include Lost & Found, The Legend of Razorback, starring Academy Award nominee Kevin McCarthy, Seat 23B, and Star-Crossed. His films have screened at festivals worldwide and received numerous awards and honors.

Michael made his feature directorial debut with the psychological survival thriller Wrecked (2010), starring Academy Award winner Adrien Brody. The film premiered at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival and was distributed by IFC Films. He subsequently co-wrote and directed Kill for Me, a psychological thriller starring Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue, released by Sony Pictures.

In addition to his filmmaking career, Michael has spent more than two decades teaching and mentoring emerging filmmakers, including at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and the Los Angeles Film School.

He continues to develop original feature films and television projects, bringing his interest in character, identity, and the darker corners of human psychology to stories across a range of genres.

Michael is also the founder of Turbulent Films, his independent film development and production company, through which he develops and produces original feature films and television projects.
